Happy New Year! Thanks for letting us take a bit of a break there, we had a bit of a whirlwind end of the year between a new kitchen being finally finished (which I’ll share next week) and a trip to CA with Christmas in the middle and New Year’s Eve at the end.

Ready to surf

New Year surfingMy mom bought the boys surfboards for Christmas and we had planned on going out before Christmas but the kitchen set us back a bit so we decided to head out the day after.

New Year surfingI can’t decide if I want to buy them wetsuits or not because they are growing so darn fast! We rented some while we were there and they only had a spring suit for Parker which meant he was extra cold. They didn’t go out for long but they were super excited to use their boards for the first time. We can’t wait to spend hours out on the water this summer!

I can’t wait to see what this new year brings. We finally have a site here to help sort the ideas a bit better so the first thing to change here will be to allow searching for ideas by age (which many of you have asked for)! As my boys get older I’ll be trying out new ideas with friends and cousins for the younger guys – with plenty of activities for the older kids too!
