As the boys get older I realize that party prep has changed quite a bit. A group of teenaged boys really isn’t interested in cutesy food or little details. Throw down some chips, pizza and wings and my boys will call it a party! With tailgating season in full swing (especially high school football games this year) we are starting to have our share of “homegating” parties and while the boys might not care as much, I sure do love a party setup. I’ve discovered my newest and most favorite party accessory that I can use with ANY party, team or holiday are these amazing Jasco Seasons Enbrighten Café Lights. They are seriously the ONLY lights I’m ever going to need to buy again!
Even the boys got into these and ask me to put them up whenever they’re having friends over. They like turning on the blue lights for a video game “mood”. The lights are controlled by a remote and you can select what color (out of 16 colors), 2 different colors or mode you want! You can also adjust the brightness if you need the lights to be toned down a bit and it has a built in timer. If you need more than one strand they are linkable up to 750ft!
So you can have regular white lights or change it up depending on your team or holiday. They even have some super cool accessories to make them even better. We recently strung these up in the front room when some friends were coming over to watch the high school football game.
We made our homegating party super simple with pizza, wings, our favorite chips along with 4 types of dip (and ranch for the wings). The food was simple and a favorite of everyone. I pulled everything together in just a few minutes and we had a full fledged party. Here’s everything you need to pull off your own:
- Jasco Enbrighten Seasons Café Lights
- Tassel banners or team poster/decor
- Paper plates
- Cups OR soda in cans/bottles to make it even easier
- Pizza & wings delivered
- Tortilla Chips
- Bean dip
- Hummus
- Salsa
- Guacamole
- Ranch/dipping sauces for wings
- Celery or a fruit/veggie tray to round things out a bit
I happened to have some tassel banners on hand so I put those up as well, but once the sun went down the cafe lights are really all we needed.
I can’t get over how well made these lights feel. I think they are definitely going to be part of our regular party routine for a long time. They do all the decorating work for us. Of course, that is if I can get them out of Colton’s room. He already has plans to hang them in there!
