Have you seen these new PLAYMOBIL® Volkswagen playsets? They are SO cool & perfect for play, but my 18-year old & I had to get some for our VW collection! You can choose from a 1960 Volkswagen Beetle or a 1962 Volkwagen T1 Camping Bus. They’re new at Walmart (click the image below to shop) and we decided to pick up both! These are popular products, so please check back if it’s listed as out-of-stock as more will be available soon!
We are BIG Volkwagen fans in this house. Jared had Beetles in high school (a ’74 and a’66) and then after we had the boys we had a 1967 Beetle for a while. We’d go to VW shows around town and even had a VW-themed birthday party once. As soon as Parker started to drive he began saving up and last year bought his very first VW!
Movies and collectibles are something we love to talk about and shop for together so we started a little VW collection. As soon as we saw these PLAYMOBIL sets we knew we had to have them. They make me feel like I’m back in high school checking out all the restored Beetles and Buses (which were always my favorite).
We spent the afternoon putting them together and love all the fun details. The boys have always been PLAYMOBIL fans so not only do we love the nostalgia of the vehicles but of playing with PLAYMOBIL sets as well.
My job has always been to put on the stickers.
These are SUPER cute and come with such fun accessories. I have always loved the little details like the logo on the wheels or the tiny toothbrushes, food, sand toys, the little map and camera… You can also store the sets in their boxes if you want to keep those for collection purposes.
We thought these would be fun to display with the rest of our collection, but they’d make great playsets for kids that come over to visit too (or for the grandkids someday). You can get either or both from Walmart.
I highly recommend finding different hobbies or things in common with your kids. I love that Parker & I have our love of VW, nostalgia, and collectibles in common. We have so much fun adding to our collections or just sharing the fun new products we see when we’re out shopping (or find online).
