I was so excited when Smashburger wanted to sponsor this post because I knew a 3 day weekend was coming up and I’m all about someone else cooking to make a fun, relaxing weekend easier! I’ll take any excuse to go out with my family and we were headed out anyway.
We’ve been to our local Smashburger (actually we have several near us) plenty of times! They have great burgers, even better fries (in my opinion) and now an awesome new kids meal choice for my grilled chicken loving guy.
They just introduced grilled chicken strips (grilled right in their kitchen) with BBQ or ranch dipping sauce and Musselman’s Unsweetened Squeezable Apple Sauce to their kids menu! They also offer Organic HONEST Kids® Juice, Horizon Milk®, or a fountain drink. I love having options on the kids menu and finding grilled chicken can be tough. My youngest has always preferred grilled chicken and we usually have to order off the adult menu so he can get it.
It was hot, delicious and just what he wanted! We were out running errands ALL weekend shopping for new furniture so having someone else cook dinner was just what we needed.
And at $5.49 for a kids meal you really can’t go wrong! We may have splurged and gotten a shake since Smashburger is the only place I like ordering shakes (they use Häagen-Dazs® ice cream). If the kids (or parents) are getting cranky while we’re out and about it’s usually because we’re hungry (or hangry) which is when we are thankful for places to eat out! For us, Smashburger is one of our family choices because in addition to their new kids menu, they also offer gluten free buns for their burgers!
Have you checked out a Smashburger near you? If you haven’t stop by on your next busy weekend or weeknight out and check out their new kids meal additions!
Do you have a kiddo that would like grilled chicken strips?

You’ve just introduced me to a new restaurant. I can honestly say I hadn’t heard of Smashburger until reading your post and I of course, am most excited to hear that they offer a gf bun. Anyone can serve up a burger patty, so it’s nice to see places adding this option. Do you know by chance if their fries are from designated fryers? Closest one to me looks to be a 1/2 hour away but maybe it’s worth the trip! :). And ps- glutenfreekid LOVES grilled chicken too!
They talk a bit about it on their site, but if you check with the manager they should be able to tell you! Usually the fries are fried in a fry only fryer but you’re supposed to check with them to see. Also, they usually ask about an allergy but if not just let them know so they don’t toast the bun since the toaster is shared. http://smashburger.com/eat/nutrition-allergen/
