There are lots of posts about water beads but have you tried them yet?

If you haven’t seen them, they were traditionally used as a vase filler for centerpieces. They are awfully addicting to play with though which has made them a popular sensory object the last several years.
A little goes a long way. We buy ours on Amazon. The boys wanted to create a fun swamp so we just bought green. You don’t need a ton to make a big statement. We decided to try 1/2 TBSP first. You’ll need 5 gallons of water. It seemed like a ton of water for that few beads.
You’ll want to let it sit overnight, but once they’re ready they’ll last a while!
I’d suggest playing with them in a deep container to keep them from getting all over the place. We added some dinosaurs for fun.
No one can help themselves from running their hands through the beads. We have a HUGE bag so we’re contemplating filling up a play pool with them. We’ll keep you posted 😉
