You know those activities you did as a kid, the super simple ideas that your mom or grandma came up with for you to do when you were bored? This is one of those and used to be a favorite of my boys! All you need is water, a paintbrush (or several) and a surface.

The patio or cement is a great spot, the side of the house, an old box… really anything that water will show up on. Younger kids might like larger brushes or even rollers better than smaller ones.

It’s fun for little ones too (they might like the bigger brushes). When my boys were toddlers they didn’t paint anything specific, they just liked seeing the water darken the surface.
