If you love Star Wars you may want to check out StarWars.com and/or the Star Wars Facebook page for some brand new Episode VII news! And since I know most of you DO love Star Wars you probably already know that May 4th is Star Wars Day – May the 4th be with you! Here is a fun craft you can make with recycled items already laying around the house!
We pulled together some items like these
and cut and played with them until we were getting a shape we liked.
Spray paint would be really cool but I didn’t have any around so we covered this one in foil!
Some straws for legs and Lifesavers for wheels
Cut some shapes out of paper to finish him off.
This one has a body made out of a cup, feet from an egg carton and a head from those little takeout containers for condiments.
Have older kids use nuts and bolts to assemble them!
The best part is the kids can use their imagination as they go finding more objects from around the house! I wonder what other supplies would make good droid parts?
