It’s back-to-school time which means… new clothes! My boys are pretty different when it comes to their clothing choices and styles, we’ve found lately though, that JCPenney has a great selection for both of them and at some great prices!
My oldest is very much a comfort kind of guy. He loves soft fabrics and graphic tees. He LOVES checking out the graphic tee selection at JCPenney anytime we visit.
It’s such an easy way to express your personality and interests when you’re a tween or teen boy (WHY is he almost a teen?!). Plus, they have a GREAT selection of Star Wars tees and I KNOW there are lots of you with Star Wars fans!
My youngest, on the other hand, loves to #bendthetrend (a fun social media campaign JCPenney is doing) and mixes and matches styles often to show off his personality.
He is ALL about the jogger pants this year. I think we bought 3 pairs. He’s loving this style and I love that he feels like he can express his personality through whatever clothing makes him feel confident. I’ve always encouraged them to try on new things and see what they like. This time he went crazy for a new style, lol!
We’ve always loved the Arizona brand for him. They use great fabrics and make one of the only jeans that actually fit his slim frame well.
They have a great selection of action sports brands as well. He loves Vans (shoes and clothing) so was happy to add some new accessories to his collection. 😉
Both of my boys love to layer in the fall no matter what style they’re leaning towards at the time. Flannels are always a popular choice!
One thing I have instilled in my boys even before going to school is to be kind. I think it is one of the most important things I can teach my boys so we’ll be participating in National #ShoutOutDay on August 12th! This Back-to-School season, JCPenney is starting a shout-out movement in hopes of bending the trend of judgement towards one of positive reinforcement. We’ll be sending #shoutout messages to lots of friends and family and I hope you will too!
Do your kids have a “style” or do they mix and match it a bit like mine? You can help them get lots of inspiration from JCPenney on Facebook / Twitter / Pinterest / Instagram / YouTube / Google+ / We Heart It / Polyvore.

We love Jc Penny and will be going there for school shopping. We are all about the basic/graphic tees too and blue jeans. I will have to check out the vans.

I like layering vintage tees and button up shirts on my sons in the fall. They look and feel comfortable in the cooler weather

My kids liked to pick out their own clothes with a little guidance from me. They each had their own preferences.

My boys have 2 totally different styles. One is all about comfort and casual clothes. My younger son is all about sports, so it’s jerseys and basketball shorts most of the time.
The trend my sons went with most is plaid shirts and camo items. Thanks so much.

Thanks again.
My son is older and is in the “need a suit” trend. That is an expensive trend for us, so a win here would go a long way toward getting a new suit! Thanks for a chance to win!
My son would love the athletic trend he also likes graphic tees and camo print.

My child doesn’t like skinny jeans so we buy looser cut, boot leg jeans. She’s really into plaid lately so we buy plaid shirts.

Anything that’s easy to put on. My son is turning four and needs to be able to get dressed all by himself.

The top trend that is really excited about this season is the kimono I love the coverage.
Our top trend is anything preppy, my children love it.

I think the chevron print is really cute, and my daughter loves anything with horses.
Our BTS shopping consists of buying polos, khakis, and new shoes so I don’t pay much attention to trends. I will say my son is very athletic and goes for comfort over cool.

Athletic shorts and team t-shirts/jerseys are almost the exclusive uniform around my house. We ratchet it up a notch for church with jeans and “collar shirts,” but I think STYLE might be a bad word in the boys’ bedroom. =)
My daughters want some cute new skirts for school this year.

We don’t follow trends too much – mainly graphic T’s and athletic shorts here.
No style in particular but lean towards sporty.
