LEGO has always been a staple in my boys’ Easter baskets. Whether we do a full out LEGO Easter Egg hunt or just add a new set or two to the basket, they seem to always sneak their way in. We can always use more LEGO bricks in the collection right?!

Themed Easter baskets are such a fun and easy way to throw a basket together. For this LEGO themed basket, I thought it would be fun to add some personalization WITH LEGO bricks. I just added a little base plate with some removable wall adhesive strips. Create your child’s name or initial with whatever LEGO bricks you have lying around.

I actually thought about making  the grass out of green LEGO bricks but ours aren’t sorted by color anymore so that would have taken me a while. Would definitely be fun if you have yours color coordinated though! Add in some new LEGO sets, a few eggs with candy and you’re good to go.

LEGO actually  just celebrated the 60th anniversary of the beloved LEGO brick On January 28th (I didn’t realize that my husband and I shared an anniversary with LEGO) so some of the special new 60th Anniversary sets would be perfect to add to baskets this year! Here are some ideas of sets to include in YOUR baskets:

We almost ALWAYS have some of the limited edition minifigs in ours. You could also include some LEGO themed stickers, one of the life sized cups or even tickets to Legoland if you were planning to go anyway! Whether you have an entire LEGO basket or not – who else is including LEGO this year?!
