Parker & I both agree that one of the biggest benefits to Invisalign® for us is that there are very few visits needed! Not that we don’t love seeing Dr. Feldman and the staff at Feldman Orthodontics in Surprise (or Scottsdale) but now that Parker is in high school, our schedules definitely fill up SO much faster. With Invisalign®, we found that it saves us time in several ways!
Parker is not only busy with school, but also working with me! He was invited to attend the grand opening of the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction with me at Disneyland and we just finished up a weekend at Phoenix Raceway for the big race this last weekend. He loves keeping busy and helping write for me but it does add more to his schedule. We’ve discovered that having Invisalign® has saved us time in more ways that we realized!
Here are some big benefits we found for busy teens:
- Less orthodontic appointments in general. Since he gets several sets of aligners to take home, we don’t have to have regular visits to tighten or adjust anything. He just switches them out on the schedule that Dr. Feldman writes out for him.
- No emergency appointments for broken wires or brackets. We had our fair share of emergency appointments for broken wires with Colton. There are no wires to break here! If something happens to them we just call our orthodontist and they tell us what to do (like move on to the next tray). Definitely no emergencies (or the pain of stabbing yourself with a broken wire).
- Easier to keep up on oral hygiene. Since you don’t have to thread the floss and make sure there isn’t anything stuck inside of metal brackets, oral hygiene time is pretty much normal for him. He takes out his aligners, brushes and flosses like normal and then puts them back in!
