Who’s ready for some holiday baking?! The boys and I have classic favorites that we make every year and then we try to fit in some new recipes. These easy eggnog donut holes sponsored by Shamrock Farms VERY quickly made it into the “classic favorites” list. The very first batch we tested was gone SO fast. They are the perfect size, soft, moist and just eggnogy enough.
I am a “small glass of eggnog” once or twice a year kind of person (I do use it as creamer in my coffee here and there) but my boys LOVE it. Ever since we visited Shamrock Farms they’ve always insisted that was the brand they buy. Luckily it’s their favorite eggnog anyway! Shamrock Farms Eggnog has a custom blend of spices and is so thick and creamy. It’s perfect to drink on its own but I love it in recipes too. It really takes these donut holes to another level. As always, Shamrock Farms Eggnog is made with pure, fresh ingredients, their cows are with the utmost care, and they never use the growth hormone rBST.
Back to the Eggnog Donut Holes. All you need to make these is a box of white or yellow cake mix (regular or we used gluten free for me), 1 cup of Shamrock Farms Eggnog, 1/4 cup of vegetable oil, and one egg. I used a donut hole/cake pop pan that has a bottom and a separate top (there are a couple of different kinds).
- 1 Box of white or yellow cake mix
- 1 Cup of Shamrock Farms Eggnog
- ¼ Cup of vegetable oil
- 1 Large Egg
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Mix all ingredients well in a bowl
- Prepare and use donut hole pan as directed (each type of pan has different instructions) OR
- Spray both sides of donut hole pan
- Place batter in zip top plastic bag and cut the corner
- Pipe into the bottom of the donut hole pan
- Place lid on top and bake for 10-12 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center of a donut hole comes out clean.
- Roll warm holes in cinnamon and sugar. If it's not warm enough to stick, brush the holes with melted butter and then roll in a cinnamon sugar mixture (Make this to taste. Some like more sugar and some like it more of an even mix)
We didn’t need to use melted butter before rolling in the cinnamon/sugar mixture but you could brush the holes with melted butter or coconut oil to get more coating.
Allow to cool, eat and enjoy!

I already have requests to make this again so I have a feeling we’ll be going through lots more Shamrock Farms Eggnog before the season is over.
