Did you know there are only 3 weekends before Halloween? If you’re like me and tend to do more activities with your kids on the weekends that’s not much time! I love using holidays as an excuse to do more fun activities as usual and it usually gets kids excited to try something new while waiting for the fun to arrive.

Last weekend we ditched school and took a bit of a family vacation. Our first stop was The Hyatt Rency Mission Bay Spa & Marina. We had such an amazing time during our Scottsdale staycation at the Hyatt Regency we thought we’d try out this one in San Diego!

It’s concept learning time from Crayon Box Chronicles! Today’s ultimate learning sensory bin is packed full of basic concepts, fine-motor activities, shapes, colors sequencing, and letters!
I love that so many of you look forward to Fort Friday (I know lots of kids do too!)

I love this floatable, portable light box from Play Trains!

It’s October 1st already and the boys are asking about sprucing up the place for Halloween. Last year we made the Pacman banner (which I personally loved) and they are wanting to know what kind of banner we are going to make this year. While they were at school I printed out and hung up this Minecraft inspired banner for this year and have the printable for you to download for free as well!

Since I’ve been gone for 5 days and had everything ready up until today I thought I’d take the day “off” today and just share some photos of our weekend. I’ll share a bit more later in the week but wanted to give an overview today so you can see what we’ve been up to!
