Back to school shopping seems to be in full swing and my boys aren’t too happy with the thought yet but they are kind of getting into the new clothes. My oldest wants to use his backpack from last year but my youngest needs a new one so he’s weighing his options. I’d definitely like something that will last but he has to like it too!
I haven’t done much with the boys’ rooms since moving them into their own. They’re just kind of there. I’ve been gathering some inspiration but haven’t gotten much farther than that. Either way, thought I’d share some inspiration that’s caught my eye lately.
We like to be out of the house often and have since the boys were little. Short trips, long trips it doesn’ matter we just like to go! We also like to eat out. All that going and eating out still means lots of having to sit still, which for boys, is usually the complete opposite of what they want to do.
When they were younger I started keeping a secret stash of fun things to do when having to sit still. It’s changed a lot as they’ve gotten older. This is what my stash looks like right now

Thanks to those that played along – I know a few more tried to but life happens right?! Everyday is a good day for a fort 🙂
We decided to make ours a movie watching fort and strung our sheets up on hooks on the ceiling. Our sectional moves into a type of bed and they love watching movies like that. We made it a little more fun by making a tent.

For high forts use some hooks and clothespins or clips to secure your blankets from the ceiling.

I completely forgot to share the invitation from the Harry Potter party! Inspiration was taken from the Ministry Decree Proclamations from Order of the Phoenix. View all the…
We LOVE visiting museums. We are lucky to live in/nearby a large city that has tons to offer in the way of museums. Summer here is the perfect time to visit them because it is SO hot. We recently visited the Children’s Museum of Phoenix since we hadn’t been in a while. I wasn’t sure how the boys would like it since they were a bit younger when we came the last time. When we walked in and saw this

I love printables. I think it’s the instant gratification of getting something you found online immediately (as long as you have a printer, ink, and paper of course). Here are some fun games and activities I’ve seen online recently. Keep these on hand for some of those summer “I’m bored” moments.

I don’t know about you all, but here in AZ we’ve already had a 118ºF day. We do have some scorching summers so if we’re playing outside (voluntarily) it involves water! Here are some fun activities we’ve found.
