Amazing party and on a budget don’t typically go together, but I think you’ll agree that they did in this case!
The amazing Spaceships and Laserbeams has done it again with excellent party supplies, a few low budget extras, and a little imagination. Check out this super awesome vintage train party.
Have you discovered Pinterest yet? It’s a virtual “pin board” or inspiration board where you can keep pictures + links of anything you want. I have a pin board going of things to do so that when the boys whine “I’m boooored” this summer I have a whole board of fun things to do!
Here are some of my favorites so far!
Marshmallow Catapult from Family Fun

No not the boxcar the children used to live in – a car made out of a box! We always have boxes laying around from our trips to Costco and we like to play with them before we throw them in the recycle bin. This week we made cars!

Another edition of Etsy Finds Friday! This week is prints. Check out some of these awesome prints for your little guys room 1. Almost an Animal World Map…
We have a few fun projects that we’re working on but life is getting in the way a bit. For example, this is the current state of my dining room table:

Lauren Clark a photographer in Oklahoma has created a pretty awesome space for her soon to make his debut baby boy.
We LOVE books around here. We have books galore and have since hte boys were little. I was read to since I was a baby and I guess it stuck because I read to the boys very early on as well.

Since we were discussing rockets, we thought we’d do this fun activity again!
I’ve read of several ways to do this, but we like this one the best because it uses the least amount of supplies and it’s quick and easy (which means you can do it over, and over, and over…)
All you need is water, empty film canisters with lids, and Alka Seltzer tablets broken into 1/4 pieces. And you really should have safety goggles.

We have a living room in the front of our house where the boys like to play, build forts, or watch movies. Currently (and often) it looks like this (plus a bit more)
