Trip sponsored by Disney but the opinions/experience are mine.
I did it! I survived my second red carpet premiere experience without tripping or embarrassing myself in some way. That’s definitely a win in my book! The red carpet premiere for THOR: RAGNAROK was on Tuesday Oct. 10th at the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Blvd.
This red carpet was a PACKED one! Lots of people, stars and press filtered through security, under the tents and onto the carpet.
For this red carpet they had an area set up for the big stars for photos and interviews. We walked right behind that area, still on the same carpet, but not directly in front of the photo spot. Many of the main actors from THOR: RAGNAROK were on the carpet while we walked through. I saw Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Cate Blanchett (Hela), and Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie).

Here’s my outfit for the occasion. Comfortable, cute, and I was told a couple of times – very “me”.
When we got through the carpet and into the theatre, we picked up some popcorn and a drink and found our seats (there is an assigned seat on the lanyard/badge we are presented with). I was sitting in the front row right at the end of these stairs where everyone walked down to take their seats just behind us!

There isn’t really anything like seeing a movie premiere in the theater with the incredible talent who made the movie happen. When we interviewed them, no one had seen the full movie before that night so we were all seeing it together for the first time! There is so much laughter and energy throughout the movie that I could never explain, but it’s such a unique feeling to be there and experience the film in this way! My favorite part about seeing a movie premiere is people cheering for their friends, family and co-workers as their names scroll through the credits.
I actually got stuck behind the Hemsworth’s coming out of the theater. Miley Cyrus (who’s with Liam Hemsworth) was trying to get the family together to move over to the after party. Our group went over to the “Oscar Stairs” for a quick photo before heading back to the Sheraton Universal for a much needed night of sleep!
SUCH a fun experience and the fact that the movie was amazing made it that much better. I can’t wait to take the boys! We already have our opening day tickets ready to go (I love reserved seating). THOR: RAGNAROK opens everywhere on November 3rd.
