You can always find small toys in the bottom of my bag. Especially when the boys were younger I’d pull all kinds of random things out for them to play with in waiting rooms, church, appointments and especially while out to dinner. This travel playset is perfect to keep in your bag for playtime when loud toys aren’t quite appropriate.

DIY Quiet travel animal playsetThe Schleich animals are perfect to keep for travel because there are so many options and they hold up great! To make your own playset all you need is some felt pieces cut to whatever shapes you want and the Schleich animals of your choice.

(Disclosure: We were sent some animals by Schleich but not compensated in any other way to post. We’ve loved them long before we ever had a blog! All opinions are our own.)

  1. I love the idea of this… unfortunately I don’t think it would keep my super active son occupied for too long, but perhaps when he’s a little older. Such a sweet idea though!

    • It’s definitely for a little bit older kids. Once they’re in that stage where you are able to distract them by interaction and conversation is a great time. There’s no way this would entertain my 19 month old niece. She’s full on in the MOVE constantly stage lol!
