All opinions are mine alone. #anepicmovienight #spiderverse #CollectiveBias We absolutely LOVE Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. It’s one of mine & the boys’ favorite animated films of all time. It’s THAT good. Such unique animation, fantastic music, and an all-around entertaining film. Oh, and it won a little thing called an Academy Award! It’s finally out on Blu-ray & DVD so we had to pick up our copy right away. (P.S. You can shop this image by clicking on it!)
We love how Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask. Spider-Ham and Spider-Man Noir are our favorites. Oh and Spider-Gwen too! Anyway, we went to Walmart to pick up our copy and since we just got back from vacation, needed to grab some easy snacks for movie night. We picked up Honey Bunches of Oats® with Strawberry and, one of my childhood favorites, Honeycomb®. Cereal has long been a favorite for snack time so we love getting new types to try and the boys told me they had never had Honey Bunches of Oats®! It’s a great snack for some wholesome nutrition with the honey taste everyone loves. Plus it is made with real strawberries. Honeycomb® is a classic in my house and is perfect for snacking. Since the boys always love when we make ice cream sundaes for our movie nights I had an idea for the honeycomb shape and I’m so excited that it worked out so easily!
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Honeycomb Spider Web Sundae
To make this spider web sundae you’ll need:
- Ice cream
- Black and red sprinkles
- Honeycomb® cereal
- Dark chocolate flavored melting wafers
First, you’ll make the “webs” by laying out pieces of Honeycomb into a circle. Then, melt the wafers according to the package directions and place into a plastic bag and cut of a small snip at one of the corners. Drizzle the melted chocolate wafers over the Honeycomb® in a spiderweb shape. Start by making an X and go from there! Place the web in the refrigerator to harden. Once it’s hard you can remove it and it should stick together! Then you just add ice cream to a bowl, top with sprinkles, and add the spider web. Now you can sit down for movie night. Grab the rest of the Honeycomb® and Honey Bunches of Oats® with Strawberry for snacking.
