As the boys get older, they get harder and harder to buy for! It’s more like buying for adults than kids anymore. They both have their own interests and hobbies so I usually go that route. My 14 year old loves to play on the PC with his friends. He’s gone through a few sets of headphones so I’ve been looking for a new pair that would fit all his needs. Right out of the box we love the design. The headset has a metal headband with a suspended pad, and magnetic memory foam ear cushions. When you take off the ear cushions you can access the ProSepcs glasses relief system which makes a little channel in the cushion to relieve pressure on your glasses making them SUPER comfortable.
As far as sound goes, the Elite Atlas’ pro-tuned 50mm Nanoclear speakers deliver immersive Windows Sonic for headphones surround sound while the athletic fabric-wrapped Aerofit ear cushions block out external noise and deepen bass response. The high-sensitivity mic with TruSpeak technology provides flawless communication with teammates but is also removable so you can use the headset without it in the way if you prefer as well.
The Elite Atlas can go wherever you want because they come with 3.5mm and PC-splitter cables that connect to any PC setup. We love the long cord too because it allows for movement around your equipment or your room without being tied down too close to your PC.
Basically, they are definitely one of the best he’s tried for gaming and are a keeper for us! The glasses relief takes it up a notch for him too. He doesn’t feel like he needs to keep taking off his headphones because they’re squeezing his glasses.
