Pirates, cowboys, knights, super heros… Boys love to play pretend (who doesn’t?) One thing (other than those mentioned) that my boys love to play is Secret Agent or Spies. I did a fun roundup of Secret Agent inspired fun.

I think every kid should know how to make a newspaper hat. It can transform you from a normal kid to a sailor, a soldier, a pirate – whatever you want to be! There’s something about props that helps you get into character. I used to love making these hats.

I LOVE playing with cardboard. We lived next to a man who worked for a company that made boxes or something but he’d always bring home these perfectly cut forts for his kids and we were jealous. 

Give a kid a toy in a box for Christmas and what does he play with? The box! For whatever reason cardboard gets the imagination going. Don’t recycle it just yet – save it up for your boys to put to good use.

(the only bad thing about it is that it’s hard for kids to cut)

We went camping last weekend just the 4 of us (well 5 of us) and had a great weekend. I love taking little trips with our little family. I took pictures here and there but mostly relaxed and spent time with my boys. I love camping!
