We are full-on into the school year here (we have a Sophmore & Junior) which means figuring out a new family schedule. Martha & Marley Spoon offered to send us a box to try and I took them up on it to see if it would help a bit with meals for a week. It definitely helped with the issue of planning and shopping but what did we think about quality?Martha & Marley Spoon review

With Martha & Marley Spoon you choose your recipes on the site & the ingredients along with beautiful recipe cards get sent to your door. Mine came to Phoenix, AZ in the middle of summer and was still super cold so the packaging definitely works. Each recipe has a bag marked with everything inside (the meat came outside of the bags in the box  but were labeled for each dinner).

You still chop, mix, & cook the recipes according to the instructions which means that the meals were definitely fresher tasting than some of the pre-prepared meal plans we’ve tried. We were very pleasantly surprised at the flavor of all the meals though. Everyone REALLY liked all three meals with the Grilled Ginger-Soy Pork Chops being the family favorite. They were well seasoned and just all-around delicious.

They really did taste like 3 meals we’d regularly make. Super flavorful and I was very happy with the quality of the meat. It didn’t save time when it came time to cook, I do love saving on the stress of planning and shopping while still getting to try different meals.

What I loved was that my boys can still learn to help cook (well, they’re really making most things by themselves) while taking away some of the frustration of figuring out what to cook, if we have all the ingredients etc.
